From Simple Order to Costly Mistake: My Disappointing Experience with Glasses USA 😤
I'm writing this to warn others about my awful experience with Glasses USA. My order, #1002890542, started out fine, but it turned into a nightmare that I hope you can avoid. It was truly "What a disappointing experience. Good as long as there are no problems. I bought a pair of glasses from Glasses USA and sent in my prescription and requested that they be readers. The ordering process was absolutely fine. Unfortunately they filled my prescription incorrectly. The glasses I was sent are for long distance not reading." After battling a chatbot, I finally got a live agent to address their mistake.
Customer: I've already explained this to a bot and now to you. You sent me distance glasses instead of the readers I ordered. I'm in Australia, and your team is saying I have to pay to ship them back. Why should I pay for your mistake?
CS Rep: I sincerely apologize for the error with your prescription and the frustration this has caused. I see in your order notes that you did request reading glasses. Let me see what I can do about the return shipping cost for you.
Customer: This is bad customer service. If I had made the error, I would pay. But this is your company's error. I'm very disappointed with this whole situation.
CS Rep: You are absolutely right, and I am very sorry. We will take full responsibility for this. I am generating a pre-paid international return label for you right now, which I will email to you. We will remake your glasses correctly and ship them at no extra charge.
